11 Tomball runners complete Rhythm and Blues Half Marathon
Eleven Tomball athletes completed the Rhythm and Blues Half Marathon on Sunday, Feb. 10 in Houston.
The runners from Tomball and their finishing times were Missy Holliday, 30, 2:04:15; Paulina Quiroga, 24, 2:13:53; David Hixon, 33, 2:22:53; Brenda Carlson, 49, 2:27:04; Bill Rowan, 39, 2:27:10; Brad Jeter, 51, 2:29:20; Traci Gou, 42, 2:31:32; Victoria Brown, 26, 2:31:33; Cecil Williams, 72, 2:39:57; Taciane Hixon, 33, 2:46:30; and Evelia Benoit, 32, 3:19:56.
Race organizers said 1,066 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which began and ended at Sam Houston Park.
Benjamin Zywicki, of The Woodlands, was the men's overall winner with a finishing time of 1:11:54, while Catherine Kruppa, of Houston, was the winner in the women's category with a time of 1:32:19.
