Houston St. Pius X grad Hunt contributes to Arkansas State victory

Houston St. Pius X High School graduate Jasmine Hunt played for Arkansas State in a 63-58 win at home over conference rival Western Kentucky Sunday, Jan. 6, at Convocation Center in Jonesboro, Ark., the Arkansas State website reported.

Hunt helped the Red Wolves improve to 6-9 on the season and 3-3 in the Sun Belt Conference.

Arkansas State's next game is 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at home against Florida International.

Hunt is a sophomore forward for Arkansas State University. She is a 2011 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Houston, where she was named first team all-district and second team all-state following her senior season. She was also named to the Top 10 Seniors in the Houston Area list and ESPN's Top 100 list. Hunt is from Houston.
