City of Tomball festival date schedule, July 4-Nov. 2

The city of Tomball has announced its 2013 festival dates for Thursday, July 4 to Saturday, Nov. 2.

• On Thursday, July 4 there will be an Independence Day Celebration. Tomball knows how to party on Independence Day. From fireworks and live music, to a street party filled with vendors, fun for the children and food, Tomball is the place to celebrate.

• On Saturday, Sept. 28 at 9 a.m. there will be a Bugs, Brew & Barbecue event at Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm St. Tomball's version of Oktoberfest is true Texan. Bugs, Brew & Barbecue combines the German Volkswagen bug, with Texas craft beer, local barbecue and live music for a day-long festival honoring the German founders of Tomball.

• On Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. the Tomball Bluegrass Festival will take place at the Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm St. The Tomball Bluegrass Festival brings banjos, fiddles, dulcimers and more to the historic downtown district. Enjoy old-style mountain music among the pecans and oaks surrounding the Depot. Vendors, food, and activities for the children make this one of the city's most popular music festivals.

• On Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. the Diesels & Easels Art Festival will take place at Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm St. The festival will bring a wide assortment of artists to the Depot Plaza. Meet the artists and view their works in oils and acrylics, clay, watercolor, ink and other media. Live music, food and beverages will be available throughout the day.
