Derrick Thomas

Q: What is your fondest high school memory?
A: Last year’s game versus The Woodlands. I realized that no matter how hard you work, sometimes you will come up short, and you must continue to work harder.

Q: If you weren’t in sports, what would you be doing?
A: I would be a paramedic. I’m currently in an EMT course at school.

Q: Which one of your plays stands out the most?
A: While playing at the BBVA Compass stadium, I tackled a guy and hit him so hard that he did a flip in the air.

Q: Who is an athlete whose attributes you try to emulate?
A: Tyrann Mathieu, also known as the “Honey Badger,” because of his overall ability to play the game.
