Northrock Technical Services named LSCS BDC Advisory Council Small Business of the Year

Northrock Technical Services was recently honored with Lone Star College System Business Development Center Advisory Council's 2012 Small Business of the Year award.

According to a college press release, Northrock Technical Services is one of six businesses that were recognized for making an impact in the local community during the council's 26th annual Small Business of the Year Awards Banquet held Thursday, Nov. 15 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott. Businesses were chosen based on leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, business growth and contribution to the community.

The other five businesses honored were Texas Emergency Care Center; Kennedy Fabricating Inc.; Martin and Stilwell; Bentley, Bratcher and Associates; and Westpark Communications.

"For 26 years it has been our tradition to pause and recognize outstanding local businesses," Richard Carpenter, LSCS chancellor, said in the release. "These small businesses are the lifeblood of our community."
