Tomball ISD recognized by CenterPoint Energy for energy efficiency projects

CenterPoint Energy has awarded $14,900 to the Tomball Independent School District for energy efficiency projects implemented this year.
The award was presented at a recent board of trustees workshop, according to a press release.
The cash award was provided by the Schools Conserving Resources Program of the energy company that helps school districts focus on efficient energy use.
Over the past six years, Tomball ISD has received over $100,000 from CenterPoint for taking steps toward energy conservation.
Participating in the awards presentation were Bob Higginbotham, director of district environmental services; John Neubauer, superintendent of schools; Cheryl Bowman, CenterPoint Energy; Steven Gremillion, CLEAResult Consulting; and John McStravick, district school board president.
