Tomball athletes in action: Women's basketball
The following women's basketball players, all with Tomball high school ties, have scheduled action this week:
Rhea Levy, Midwestern State University
Position: Guard
High school: Houston St. Pius X High School
This week: Sunday, Nov. 25, at Oklahoma Panhandle State University
About Levy: Levy is a freshman guard for Midwestern State University. She is a 2012 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Houston, where she was three-time TAPPS all-district selection. Levy also helped the Panthers to a pair of state semi-final showings in 2011 and 2012. She scored 12 points and grabbed three rebounds. She also had four steals. The Houston native is the daughter of Terrence and Ardonia Levy.
Christen Bounsall, University of Dallas
Position: Guard
High school: Houston St. Pius X High School
This week: Saturday, Nov. 24, at Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges
About Bounsall: Christen Bounsall is a freshman guard for University of Dallas. She is a 2012 graduate of Houston St. Pius X High School. Bounsall is from Humble.
Caitlin Diaz, Texas Christian University
Position: Forward
High School: Tomball High School
This week: Sunday, Nov. 25, at Texas State University
About Diaz: Diaz is a freshman forward for Texas Christian University. She is a 2012 graduate of Tomball High School, where she was also rated as the No. 18 ranked player in Texas according to Premier Basketball Report. Diaz was named to the All-Greater Houston all-star squad. Diaz is from Houston.
