Tomball athletes in action: Women's basketball

The following women's basketball players, all with Tomball high school ties, have scheduled action this week:

Rhea Levy, Midwestern State University
Position: Guard
High school: Houston St. Pius X High School
This week: Saturday, Nov. 17, versus Fort Lewis College
About Levy: Levy is a freshman guard for Midwestern State University. She is a 2012 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Houston, where she was three-time TAPPS all-district selection. Levy also helped the Panthers to a pair of state semifinal showings in 2011 and 2012. Her average score was 12 points and three rebounds. She also averaged four steals. The Houston native is the daughter of Terrence and Ardonia Levy.

Christen Bounsall, University of Dallas
Position: Guard
High school: Houston St. Pius X High School
This week: Saturday, Nov. 17, versus East Texas Baptist University
About Bounsall: Christen Bounsall is a freshman guard for University of Dallas. She is a 2012 graduate of Houston St. Pius X High School. Bounsall is from Humble.

Dani Parks, University of the Incarnate Word
Position: Forward and guard
High School: Houston St. Pius X High School
This week: Saturday, Nov. 17, at Texas-Permian Basin
About Parks: Parks is a sophomore forward and guard for University of the Incarnate Word. She is a 2011 graduate of St. Pius X High School in Houston, where she was named district tournament MVP all three years. As a senior, she earned a spot on the TAPPS 5A state basketball all-tournament team, averaging 1,204 points and 742 rebounds. The chemistry major from Houston is the daughter of Darryl and Bellena Parks.
