Tomball High School grad Donald leads Southeastern Louisiana University to win
Tomball High School grad Courtney Donald had 11 kills Nov. 6, as Southeastern Louisiana University rolled to a 3-0 victory over Texas Southern in women's college volleyball action.
Donald, a senior middle blocker, also contributed a .500 hitting percentage.
The Lions won 25-9, 25-17 and 25-11 in Hammond, La. The team is now 14-13 on the season.
The next contest for Southeastern Louisiana University is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at home against Nicholls State.
Donald is a 2009 graduate of Tomball High School. She was a four-sport athlete participating in volleyball, basketball, water polo and track. She was a two-time first-team all-district selection on the volleyball court while earning Houston Chronicle player of the week accolades during 2008-09 as a senior. Donald played club volleyball for Willowbrook. The daughter of Shawn and Kristi Donald, she is majoring in business at Southeastern Louisiana. Donald is from Tomball.
