Tomball High School grad Stabell records 17 kills in Colorado School of Mines win
Tomball High School graduate Jackie Stabell had 17 kills Nov. 3, as the Colorado School of Mines rolled to a 3-2 victory over Metro State in women's college volleyball action.
Stabell, a senior outside hitter, also contributed three digs in the win, along with a .368 hitting percentage.
The Orediggers won 19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 16-25 and 15-10 at the Auraria Event Center in Denver. The team is now 21-5 on the season.
The next contest for the Colorado School of Mines is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at home against Colorado Christian.
Stabell graduated from Tomball High School in 2009. She was s three-time All-District selection in high school. The Tomball native is majoring in mechanical engineering.
