Tomball man blames dentist for dead tooth, damaged gums
A Tomball man is suing over claims a dentist killed his front tooth and damaged his gums.
Tomball resident Peter Escobar filed a lawsuit on Jan. 23 in Harris County District Court against dentist Willis J. Humphrey, Jr. and Dental Cosmetic Center of Houston, citing gross negligence.
Escobar says after he hired Humphrey to install Invisalign braces in 2006, he suffered nerve damage to his gums, which killed his front tooth. According to the brief, Humphrey refused to remove the braces when Escobar complained of severe pain in the now-damaged areas of his mouth.
Escobar has undergone multiple root canals to repair the damage caused by Humphrey, the suit alleges.
Escobar is seeking damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Amanda Tucker.
