Tomball orthopedic group, Spring Branch nurse accused of surgical mishap
A patient is suing a Tomball orthopedic group and a Spring nurse, claiming they performed surgery on the wrong knee.
Nora Krishner filed a lawsuit Dec. 15 in the Harris County District Court against Dr. Michael Blackwell, Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Tomball, Spring resident Cheryl Blackwell, and Medical Complex Surgery Center in Tomball, citing negligence and lack of informed consent.
According to a court brief, Krishner says beginning May 20, 2010, she endured three surgeries, because the defendants accidently performed surgery on her right knee. According to the brief, the surgery should have been done on her left knee.
Krishner is seeking actual and exemplary damages, as well as court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney John Zgourides.
