LSC-Tomball to offer Discovery College courses for elementary, high school students

Registration for the Discovery College at Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) kicks off on Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to noon in E-166, near the Beckendorf Conference Center on LSC-Tomball's campus.
Discovery College is a summer enrichment camp that runs from Monday, June 6, to Thursday, August 4. Different classes are offered each week for children ages 6 to 8, "tweens" ages 9 to 12 and teenagers ages 13 to 17.
Among the diverse classes being offered this summer are Career Exploration, Cupcake Decorating, Robotics and Construction Exploration, Social Etiquette, Golf, Babysitting, Adventures in Art and Oozing, and Bubbling Science. Discovery College will also offer classes specifically geared toward children with developmental disabilities, such as Music and Motion, and Learning Skills Review.
Classes are offered Monday through Thursday in the mornings from 8 a.m. to noon and in the afternoons from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuition for Discovery College is $89 per week.
Parents must register their children in person. For those unable to come out on April 16, registration will continue in E-166 during regular business hours until Friday, June 3.
All Discovery College classes will be held on the LSC-Tomball campus, located at 30555 Tomball Parkway.
