Pro Baseball: Byron Joseph Wiley, Lynchburg Hillcats

Byron Joseph Wiley went 2 for 3, scored three runs and was walked once in the Lynchburg Hillcats's 11-6 loss to the Kinston Indians on Monday. Wiley graduated from Tomball High School.

A 2005 graduate of Tomball High School, Wiley played college baseball at Kansas State for three seasons (2006 to 2008). He was a career .306 hitter for the Wildcats with 13 home runs and 90 RBIs in 149 college games. Wiley was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 22nd round (659th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. Pro Baseball: Kyle Douglas Russell, Chattanooga Lookouts

Kyle Douglas Russell went 1 for 3 and scored a run in the Chattanooga Lookouts's 7-4 loss at the Jacksonville Suns on Monday. Russell graduated from Tomball High School.

A 2005 graduate of Tomball High School, Russell was a second-team high school all-American as a senior. He played three seasons (2006 to 2008) of college baseball at the University of Texas appearing in 175 career games for the Longhorns with a .306 batting average. Russell was drafted by St. Louis in the fourth round (142nd overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign electing to return to Texas for his junior season. In 2008, Russell hit .296 with 19 home runs and 56 RBI, and he was named MVP of the Houston Regional of the NCAA tournament. He was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the third round (93th overall) of the 2008 draft, and began his professional career with Ogden of the Pioneer League (Rookie). James Trampas Hood was arrested on alleged charges of failure to appear (multiple charges). Hood's address is listed as 24927 Oconee Drive, Tomball, TX 77375.

Alex Lopez, of 915 Baker Drive Apt 25, Tomball, TX 77375, was arrested on alleged charges of driving with an invalid license and previous conviction.

Carolyn Abb Scheffler was arrested on alleged charges of FALSE DRUG TEST FALSIFICATION DEVICE and falsifying a drug test falsification device. Scheffler's address is listed as 9494 Humble Westfield #3033, Humble, TX 77338.

Robert Albert I. Ward, of 4045 Wilson Road, Humble, TX 77396, was arrested on alleged charges of SPEEDING, speeding, DRIVING WHILE LICENSE INVAL, driving while license is invalid, FAIL TO APPEAR MC and failure to appear (multiple charges).
