Pro Baseball: Trevor C. Hurley, Myrtle Beach Pelicans

Trevor C. Hurley pitched two innings, striking out three and allowing no earned runs Sunday in the Myrtle Beach Pelicans's 8-2 loss at the Winston-Salem Dash. Hurley graduated from Tomball High School.

Hurley is a 2005 graduate of Tomball High School. He went on to play college baseball at Kansas State for three seasons (2006 to 2008) making 58 appearances on the mound for the Wildcats. He logged a career mark of 1-5 with three saves and a 5.98 ERA. Hurley was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 22nd round (663rd overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. Between 2008 ad 2010 Hurley appeared in 87 games 15 of which were starts in the Texas system going 13-6 with 18 saves and a 2.78 ERA as he advanced to advanced single-A with Bakersfield of the California League.
