Pro Baseball: Trevor C. Hurley, Myrtle Beach Pelicans

Trevor C. Hurley pitched one inning, striking out one and allowing no earned runs Friday in the Myrtle Beach Pelicans's 5-0 loss at the Winston-Salem Dash. Hurley graduated from Tomball High School.

Hurley is a 2005 graduate of Tomball High School. He went on to play college baseball at Kansas State for three seasons (2006 to 2008) making 58 appearances on the mound for the Wildcats. He logged a career mark of 1-5 with three saves and a 5.98 ERA. Hurley was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 22nd round (663rd overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. Between 2008 ad 2010 Hurley appeared in 87 games 15 of which were starts in the Texas system going 13-6 with 18 saves and a 2.78 ERA as he advanced to advanced single-A with Bakersfield of the California League. A 2005 graduate of Tomball High School, Wiley played college baseball at Kansas State for three seasons (2006 to 2008). He was a career .306 hitter for the Wildcats with 13 home runs and 90 RBIs in 149 college games. Wiley was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 22nd round (659th overall) of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. The county clerk in Montgomery County reported the following arrests on July 9:

Frederick Clint Owens, of 2074 Aspen Glade, Humble, TX 77339, was arrested on alleged charges of EXPIRED MV REGISTRATION, expired motor vehicle registration, NO DRIVERS LICENSE, driving without a driver's license, FAILURE TO APPEAR CLASS C, failure to appear (Class C misdemeanor), NO LIAB INSUR/CLS C and no liability insurance (Class C misdemeanor).

Fannon Ann Stephens was arrested on alleged charges of HARASSMENT and harassment. Stephens's address is listed as 20434 Jasperwood Lane, Humble, TX 77338.

Brandon Lamar Walker was arrested on a charge of theft between $1,500 and $20,000 on July 9, 2011, the Harris County Sheriff's Office reported. Walker, a 18 year old black male, was booked at the Harris County Jail on July 10, 2011 and is facing a felony charge. He resides at 19307 Diversion. Read more...
